Our Story
The Mothership Network began with a vision to create something more than an online marketplace—a space where culture, creativity, knowledge, technology, and community could come together with purpose.
Founded by Ione, the concept grew from a desire to offer distinctive, culturally conscious products, original books and educational resources, creative and digital services, and meaningful content that speaks to the interests and real-life needs of the communities we serve. As the creative force behind the network, Ione develops and coordinates much of its product vision, educational and media concepts, original programming, and overall creative direction.
That vision expanded through collaboration with M. Macedon, an accomplished IT professional with more than 30 years of experience in technology, including extensive experience in web development and digital creation. Working primarily behind the scenes, Mut brings the technical expertise that supports and strengthens the network’s creative vision. Together, Ione and M. Macedon collaborate on website development, promotional media, books, documentaries, educational short films, and other original digital projects—combining creative vision with technical experience to build and continually expand The Mothership Network.
Today, The Mothership Network is evolving into a multifaceted commerce, education, and media platform. Through podcasts, interviews, documentaries, short films, live presentations, and practical how-to programming, we explore subjects that affect the whole person and the wider community—from mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being to current events, culture, history, entrepreneurship, economics, agriculture, food security, self-sufficiency, and community-based solutions.
Our goal is not simply to discuss the challenges people face, but to bring together knowledgeable voices, diverse perspectives, practical resources, and solution-focused conversations that people can apply in their own lives. We believe in the value of community, cooperative economics, shared knowledge, representation, and creating greater opportunities for people to become more informed, empowered, connected, and self-sufficient.
